Bring your room move together
Start with the largest items: your mattress, bed frame, desk, shelves and chest of drawers. Then add suitcases, bedding and boxes. Check shared kitchen cupboards and storage for anything else coming with you. A complete list helps us discuss the van space and carrying help without leaving your smaller belongings out of the plan.
Choose help for the furniture as well as the boxes
One room can still include bulky or heavy pieces. Tell us the dimensions of your largest items and the floors at both addresses. Select one or two movers to show your preference, and describe any stairs or tight entrances. If a bed frame or desk needs dismantling, add that to your notes so we can discuss it before the move.
Separate the travelling belongings
Walk through the rooms with anyone else involved and agree which pieces are leaving. Use labels to distinguish the load from furniture staying in place. If a relative is receiving it, check that they can be there and that the destination room is ready. Include any collection deadline in the request.
Clear rates for a smaller move
A room move uses the same published van and crew rates, with a two hour minimum. A small load does not automatically mean a smaller minimum charge. Check the price guide for the van options and relevant extras, then send your preferred date, both addresses and item list. We’ll agree the arrangements with you before confirming the slot.
