PLANNING / YOUR ESTIMATE

How your moving estimate is put together

Your estimate brings together the vehicle, carrying help, journey and property access. This page explains the published charges so you can plan your household’s move before agreeing a slot.

From request to agreed appointment

  1. Describe the load, both properties and the day you have in mind.
  2. The team reviews the vehicle, carrying arrangements and estimate with you.
  3. A moving slot is confirmed with you after the arrangements are agreed.

Describe the work at both properties

The estimate depends on the load and the work at both properties. Record large pieces, the number of boxes and how they will reach the van. Mention extra addresses or a seller’s deadline. Request any packing or furniture assembly work explicitly so we can discuss it before agreeing the appointment.

Vehicle and crew: hourly labour

The shortest chargeable booking is two hours. At £55 per hour, a Transit with one mover therefore has a £110 minimum labour charge. If the work takes longer, labour follows the actual moving time.

Journey distance and property access

The estimate and practical arrangements are reviewed together before an appointment is agreed. You can submit a moving plan without making a payment.

Revising an agreed plan

For an amended load, a different day or a question about your arrangements, write to hello@stamfordhillremovals.co.uk with your reference. We can then review the change against your agreed plan. Payment and cancellation terms are included with the booking details.

A driven vehicle, with carrying help

The vehicle options include a driver; this is a moving service rather than self-drive van hire. Your request can specify a Transit or Luton and a crew of one or two movers. We review that preference against the work you describe.
