Bedrooms: make the first night straightforward
Keep bedding and each person’s everyday essentials separate from the main box stacks. Label bed fittings by frame and record any assembly work you want discussed. Measure wardrobes before emptying and moving them; full drawers and loose internal shelves need attention before a piece travels.
Kitchen: small loads, clear labels
Split dense kitchen items between manageable boxes instead of filling one large carton. Wrap breakable pieces individually and label their destination cupboard or room. Keep the first items your household wants to use in a distinct group. Arrange appliance disconnection with a suitable person where necessary; do not assume it is included with transport.
Books and delicate belongings
Use smaller boxes for books so that the weight stays manageable. Keep anything requiring particular care clearly marked and tell us about it in your request. Carry valuables and important personal papers yourself. If you have religious items needing special handling, explain the practical instructions you want followed rather than relying on the crew to infer them.
Furniture and separate destinations
Use a separate inventory line for every large piece. Bag loose fittings securely and keep them associated with that furniture. If some pieces are going to a relative or storage, label them with the agreed stop rather than only the room name. Check the list with the person coordinating the move before loading starts.
What packing help is actually agreed?
This guide is for your preparation; it does not mean a packing crew or materials are included in every booking. Describe any packing, dismantling or reassembly work you want when sending the request. We will discuss the suitability, time and charges before confirming the plan.
